Just Got Engaged!

Been reading posts for a while and got engaged a couple of weeks ago! Thinking about Harrison House, Sans Souci, Milleridge, Thatched Cottage, Fox Hollow. Have I missed any others on North Shore but not too far east? What's great on South Shore? Thanks!!!

Hello, and welcome to the boards. To help you out, we will need a bit more info on what you are looking for. How many people are you having? Would you mind another wedding or two at the same catering hall? What kind of grounds are you looking for (water? garden? hills?). From what you listed, I gather that you are looking for something with an old fashioned flare. On the south shore I would recommend the vanderbilt mansion and the riviera. I would also check out the swan club in glen cove.

I would reccmend the Bourne Mansion in Oakdale, and also Timber point -great river both south shore on the water - also more north shore the caryle in bethpage

We're thinking of about 150 people but depends on what it costs. Saturday is probably too expensive for us. Inlaws want to come looking with us this weekend but don't want them to come. Did anybody else bring them? Don't know if they're helping with $$. Been to Milleridge and Sans Souci and loved them. Forgot about Swan Club. Thanks.
