Just got engaged!!

So we just got engaged 2 weeks ago!! Hoping to get married May or June of 2014. Right now we are venue shopping (looking at the riviera and milleridge this weekend). I'm sooo hoping they have dates available!! So you think it will be hard to find a venue (decently price and nice) for May or June 2014???

I booked my June 2014 wedding in February 2013 and I was originally looking for May but many places were already booked so we pushed back to June (limited dates also). I would definitely start calling places ASAP to make sure they have dates available.

YAY!!! Milleridge is my venue - i love it so much!! :) Some places I visited were very booked: Bridgeview, Fox Hollow, Larkfield

I started looking this April for dates for Sept or Oct of 2014, and a few places had already started booking for those months. You might wanna re-think such a short engagement! One thing I've noticed is that wedding planning takes A LOT longer in NY than it does almost anywhere else in the country!!!!!

yayyyyy the milleridge!!!!!!! You'll love it! And i think you'll be OK with dates, there will be a weekend available in May or June I'm sure. As long as you're flexible with the weekend, you'll be fine

Congrats & Welcome!! I'm sure you will be fine! But May & June were hot months and I ended up booking mine back in Feb of this year. Not only the venues but a lot of vendors were booked on certain dates when I was searching too..so def keep that in mind too

Congrats Welcome! If you are not dead set on only one venue, you should be able to find June 2014 openings somewhere. Also I know the Lessing venues usually have sales on the last minute booking of any dates they have left, so def check them out. Good Luck Venue Hunting and enjoy the process!
