BUT JUST INE SMALL CATCH I WAS TOLD THAT MY BIRTH CERT IS NOT A BIRTH CERT AND THAT I NEED TO GO TO THE TOWNSHIP I WAS BORN AND APPLY FOR ONE OTHERWISE I CANT GET ON THE PLANE TO GO TO SAN JUAN FOR MY HONEYMOON, SO GLAD THE LADY TOLD ME!!! OTHERWISE I WOULD NOT BE A HAPPY CAMPER TRYING TO GET ON A PLANE THAT DAY.

well i called the township to get my burth cert, luckly its very easy the lady said, just a few documents , $10 and 15 minutes later and i will have one.

I had to do this too, I was shocked at how quick and painless it was, make sure you know your moms maiden name, bring your DL and I think that is all you need-not sure I forget.

i believe u need a passport to leave the country to go anywhere now...i would imagine puerto rico included..i dunno if just a birth certificate is gonna cut it...u might wanna look into that

we are ok we just need our dl and birth certicate, i checked with our travel agents and the airline already. we are told that we dont need them bc its part of the US. I also talked to my neighbor her parents are from pr and where just here last week and they werent needed.

i was going to mention the same thing about the passport. My sister booked me a surprise honeymoon to PR. Please let me know how it is. I am not sure where we are staying just yet, she won't tell me. I know where are staying one night in san juan and the other days at a high end resort about 1 1/2 hrs from the airport. Congrats on getting your license. Good luck with the next 2 busy weeks.

You don't need a passport to go to PR because it is a territory of the United States.

I didn't think you could even get your marriage certificate without the birth certificate with the seal (I had the same problem with the birth certificate). I'm glad you got yours! We didn't need our birth certificates to fly to Puerto Rico, but we brought ours anyway just in case. You guys are going to love Puerto Rico! We went there for our honeymoon.

If you are staying in the Embassy Suites in San Juan at all you will LOVE it...great hotel and sooo beautiful...we highly recommend it!
