Yeay, now I get to play around with my different options to see what I like
Although I ordered 4 different shades of green and now I have the problem of deciding which one I like better.

Re: Just got my paper samples from CardsandPockets!
Haha! I literally ordered a sample of every green and pink they carried! I haven't made up my mind!
The papers great though! I hope the full cards are just as nice!
Good luck!

Re: Just got my paper samples from CardsandPockets!
The only I have pretty much done is a mockup of the menu (obviously the food choices might change) so when I get home I am going to put it all together to see how it looks and I will post a pic

nicee!! I loved getting my samples. How do you like the quality of the paper? I ordered from Paper and More and theirs was really good, but I was thinking of ordering a few from cards and pockets and then doing the whole price comparison....are you planning on doing your own invites too?

The paper quality is excellent and I test printed and it came out great. Just have to put this bad boy together.
I am not 100% on DIYing the invites but I am definitely doing the menus, programs, favor tags, and pretty much anything else that requires paper.

Re: Just got my paper samples from CardsandPockets!
so here are the rough mockups of the menus. I did all this by hand so they will look a lot nice and cleaner when I actually use a paper cutter to do this.
When I showed them to FI we couldn't decide if we liked the green or the yellow backgroudn better so what we decided to do is alternate each menu at the table (so 5 people will get green menus and 5 will get yellow).
Re: Just got my paper samples from CardsandPockets!
they look awesome!! love the idea of alternating between the yellow and green! I can see why you had a hard time choosing your favorite!

I know. I literally stood there looking at them for like 30 mins and couldn't decide lol.
In case anyone orders from CnP, the paper stock I used for this was Snowy White, Lemonade, and Pistachio.

You are so good at this! I am thinking of DIYing my invites, but it makes me nervous.
Did you just do this in word and change the paper size?
They look amazing! Congrats!

I actually do everything on Power Point - I think it's easier to work with. And actually what's good is that I am able to fit two menus on one page when it's set to landscape view so I can save on paper.
I'm sure if you don't have Power Point or are not good with the program this can just as easily be done in word.

Actually one thing I want to ask you girls now that I uploaded the pics,
Do you think the black border should be a little thicker or do you think it looks fine the way it is?

Re: Just got my paper samples from CardsandPockets!
Thanks for the info! I'll have to start playing around with Power Point (Did you make your logo there too?).
I think the menu looks great as is! It would look great with a thicker black border too. If it is going to cause you more work, I don't think it is worth it because it really does look awesome now.

Re: Just got my paper samples from CardsandPockets!
I actually made the monogram on power point before I saw this video but this video helped me to fix it up a bit and I would never have known it's better to save as an .emf or .png file.
