My FI and I were on a Carnival cruise last March and LOVED it! I would have to believe her experience was not the norm. I wouldn't worry about it.
Hi, everyone, this board was very helpful to me when I planned my own wedding and since I'm so pleased with the way everything turned out, I'd thought I'd share some feedback. I know you ladies are busy planning your own weddings, so I won't bore you with all the details, just a summary which I hope won't be too long. My event took place at the Roslyn Country Club--we held both the ceremony and reception there. I have mostly good feedback on Roslyn Country Club, although quite honestly there were a few problems--don't want to trash any vendor too much, but if you want to know more feel free to e-mail me. (I will post my e-mail address at the end of this message). If you are a bride and you already booked there, please don't worry or let this e-mail upset you--I have nothing really terrible to say, only some annoying things which happened but nothing that ruined anyone's day.

My mother is a travel agent and we are taking a cruise also. Carnival was one that she recommended and there is no way she would suggest it if they had a bad reputation. She sells them and travels a lot so she really knows first hand. It surely must have been the exception to the rule. I think they are even trying to tone down their name 'the fun ship' so it doesn't sound like a party boat either.

Jenn, My FI and I were on Carnivals Imagination last June, it was wonderful. We had a late dinner seating and I can honestly say we never realized how many kids were on the ship until we heard the number during the disembarkment speach (I think there were about 150). The kids spend the day at Camp Carnival. If your getting married when school is in session I am sure the number of kids on board will be small. Dont worry about it Carnival is great, you will have a wonderful time.

Jenn,
I went on Carnival Fascination last year and we are going on the Destiny in 3 weeks. The people we are going with have been on 12 cruises with Carnival!...You will have a wonderful time! Half the time, you aren't even on the boat! You are out exploring the beautiful islands you are visiting. Whether you like to snorkle, hike, shop or just relax, you will have a very romantic vacation. It seems as if that group was very rude and unbehaved. I think I saw maybe a total of 5 kids the entire cruise! Don't stress. You can choose from a variety of activities and make the trip the best ever!
