yeah thanks guys...I was actually upset about it because all I wrote was 'that I was nervous' not anything bad about her...because I think if anyone posts somthing about your vendor thats bad u get nervous no matter what..

then I get that email and IM LIKE OH WOW THATS COOL..

I was going to write her back and explain myself but its not my friends its someone who would work for me on my wedding day so I dont need to...

so all i wrote was ok thanks with my adress lol

yeah you don't need the added stress jessie....you are better off being the better person like you are and not even bother with her.

Wow. Unprofessional. She should have called you and asked you to come in and discuss the situation about things that you were hearing about her.

By her sending you that letter, maker her looks so insecure. You're gonna turn down a customer because SOME people said they didnt like you?? That's there opinions. What about the OTHER brides that she worked it.

That email was uncalled for.

what i dont like about that email is that she doesnt even say anything about canceling excpet giving your money back.. no explaination?? strange!

that's such a shame, b/c so many girls on here used to rave about her...i'm sure she was hurt reading that thread, but you didn't say anything hurtful about her...you were BOOKED w her!! of course you'd be worried...why didn't she just call you, tell you that you have nothing to worry about and that you are booked w her that day, and assure you that you that she will do an excellent job?? then you would have come on here and told all of us what a positive experience you had w her on the phone, and that no one who booked w her or is interested in booking her should be worried.

instead, now everyone will continue to have even worse doubts about her. it's really too bad. sorry jess!! i'm sure you will find someone else who you like just as much though.

OMG Jessie....

that is crazy that she is sending you back your deposit and she specifically cancelled on you because of that thread. I know you didn't say anything negative about her. And come on its 'OUR WEDDINGS' of course we might have doubts and we have the right to have our doubts.

But geez...good thing you do have enough time to book someone else...sorry hun!!

just keep in mind they are really busy right now so if they take time to get back to you be patient, they are really nice and try to do their best to get back to you quickly...I had my trial with maureen but i need to still do my hair trial with claudia and bc of her schedule its been hard to do so

Wow - that is absolutely ridiculous.

I'll scratch her off my list.

I would hope that any vendor who would read a thread like that one would contact those clients that were voicing their concerns and calm them down - not ditch them!!!!

Jess, you had every right to be nervous after reading what that one woman had posted! I would have been too - it's only natural. I know there are a ton of brides out there who love her and her work, but everyone has the right to be concerned if they read negative posts about their vendors.

That is just absurrrrrrd.

I can't believe she would do that to you. That's total bullsh*t!! All because you had some concerns??? Doesn't she know brides doubt EVERYTHING at one time or another? She should grow up and learn to take criticism in stride. Maybe instead of cancelling your appointment she should have re-evaluated some of her business practices after reading the original thread. She obviously took the low road and you are probably better off.

She was on my list of people to possibly try for makeup and hair....I guess I can cross her off now.

but I have to say that there must be more the story as to why she would offer you back your money. Maybe someone said more to her about you? I would ask her what's going on.

It's ashame b/c she is amazing. I had her for my wedding and work is beautiful. The day of my wedding she came in and had this calming & reassuring vibe that made me relax. When she came to do our hair & m/up she was 8 & 1/2 mths pregnant and never complained and was on her feet for 7 hrs. She showed up a 1/2 hr early and stayed with me all day and touched up my make-up throughout the day for FREE! i did'nt book her for all day.. but she was just generous. I would talk to her and clear up any misunderstandings.

what bothers me is the fact that she just informed you she was giving you your deposit back and to find someone else.

can you imagine if every vendor did that b/c their bride said they were nervous? how many poeple have said that about their gowns?? or their photographer?

i would be soooo p issed.

you're right. you dont owe her an explanation.

however, if you really didnt want to cancel with her, perhaps you could call her and explain the situation, and use the wedding gown jitters as an example. you had every right to be nervous.
you could even tell her that if you were seriously nervous you would have called to cancel but you didnt and explain that if she had called to discuss this with you you would have then come on here and raved about her instead of just reinforcing all the negative that's been said the past few weeks.
