Just had my 40 week appointment.....

and NOTHING has changed!!!! Its just so frustrating. I'll take 1/2 a cm, anything. The waiting around is killing me! My doctors are so laid back about it which is even more annoying. I go for testing on Monday. Sorry, just had to vent.

Hang in there!! I remember I had gone to the Dr. when my son was a week late, and nothing changed - well, that night I went into labor. So it can happen fast!
I know your uncomfortable and it is very frustrating!!

I was late as well - I went for my 41 WEEK appointment, had a sono, an internal and a non stress test, sure enough after poking and proding, I went into labor that night!

If I am correct AFI stands for Amniotic Fluid Index (AFI). They will measure the amniotic fluid around the baby. IT will be done at the same time as the NST (non stress test) with a regular sonogram.

GOOD LUCK to both of you ladies...i am right behind you I am due next week!

Remember the baby does not have a calender so he/she is just doing things naturally. The due date is a totally made up date...the baby will come soon. I am so glad to hear your doctors are laid back. So often they start induction discussions.
