Well, I just had my HSG today. The worst part of it all is waiting for the results. Some people are fortunate enough to know right away how it turned out but not me lol. I asked the girl at the radiology office if I will be able to see anything and, she said 'maybe'. However, I didn't see any monitor, I just laid there with this huge xray machine on top. I took lots of advil before the test, so the cramping wasn't bad. It only lasted for a few minutes......So now I will wait......they sent me home with the film. I was sitting and examining the xrays but I am clueless. I do see some white squiggly lines ....If anyone has any advice, it's very welcomed :)

ooh pick me, pick me! I have advice...well not really advice but perhaps can ease your mind. I have read in a million places that if your cramping was not bad than you had no blockage. Honestly, I read this in a TON of places when I was researching for my HSG.

The white squiggly lines should be your fallopian tubes, and if they are not blocked there should be pools of liquid (white) at the outer ends of them where the dye spills out...
I hate to disagree with Deb but I had horrible cramping (to the point that I was crying and could not move up the table like the radiology guy wanted me to do)and I had no blockages...and I got pregnant the same month

I had bad cramping too, but my RE told me right away that there was no blockage. I was able to see the monitor...pretty cool.
I did hear that after an HSG you are more fertile. I guess it flushes you out or something.
