Just had to share

Tonight is my first orientation for the Masters in Education program I want to get into!! I am so excited, its like the first step in a long awaited journey. I cannot wait for the day to be over so I can go, and see what the program is about and start gathering materials for my application The thought of actually starting down the road to what I have wanted to do for years makes me so happy.

yeah!!! the first step is so daunting. i remember it was harder to send in the applications than it was actually going to school! good luck!!

I have no education background whatsoever (unless you count being raised by a teacher/AP ) My degree is in Communications and I have been working in Corporate america (advertising/marketing) for 7 years. This would be a huge change for me in every way. I would not even be able to think about doing it w.out the support of my wonderful DH, who is willing to scrape by for a year of living without my salary so that I can do something I have always wanted to do. Honestly, in retrospect I dont know why I did not study education in college. I dont think you should be able to choose your life path at 18

that's my exact story, too - just replace 'Communications' with 'Accounting'. i can not even begin to tell you what a different world it is!!!!

i also owe it all to my DH. without his support, this never would have happened, as i was the breadwinner of the family. money is tight, but we will manage!!
