Just in tears. Hug your family today!
This morning I got some really sad news. We all hear stories of people dying but htis one hit me really hard.
Dh and I went to the company picnic last year and I met an adorable 3 year old. Her mom had been kille din a car accident and dad was a single father. She was well behaved, even with squealing kids around she was such a lady..after talking to dad I understood why..he was such a gentleman and was trying his best to be both mom and dad. He did not date..he just wanted to be a dad. Well early htis morning he had a heart attack and died. All we know is thathis daughter was with him and when whomever found her (neighbors..dont know), all she was doing was screaming for her daddy.
All I could do is cry. I am crying right now as I type because she made such an impression on me even at such a young age.
No one knows if they have family here. Her father seemed to be the only one she had. I told Dh to start a collection if no one else does. I also am trying to fin a company called build a bear so that she can make her own teddy bear. I suspect that some kind of security object would help her grieve. All this makes me realize how lucky I am to have my daughter and DH. It shows me that life is so short and its best to do things now instead of waiting for perfect timeing. Death does not make reservations like a restaurant.
