And it was wonderful! I still want to look at as many as I can before I make a decision! Maybe I will pick one by the end of March!!

I went to 12 places before I made my decision. Just look around and do the taste-testings..... That's what sealed the deal for us.

Thats why I want to look at so many and am starting so early. We are considering feb-May of next year! Feb and March are ridiculously cheaper than any other months for the same wedding. I think I may have convinced my FIance to have a wedding at that time to avoid spending 40000 on one day!!!

I don't know if you are doing a Friday wedding...When we looked at the Watermill, they asked us why not Friday March 31st? It is the last day of 'winter' pricing & it is still spring...With that in mind, FH & I stuck with that date & now that is our wedding date

I look into it! When i was there I was not so sure that my Fiance or inlaws would go for a winter wedding, so i did not ask about specific dates availabe just prices for those months! I will call them back about availability next week1

That was me, originally I didn't want a winter wedding just bc both of our brother's got married in Feb 03...We needed winter pricing though! March was the next best thing & the last day of the month just fit us!

I'm with you Kissy - FH wanted summer an I wanted spring... or even Fall (I really wanted November-ish).
But when we went around and we heard the good prices, we were sold. Family was like NO JANUARY and NO FEBRUARY because of the likelihood of snow (all those OOT!) and when Marianne at FT said...well, you could do the last weekend of winter pricing (march 25th) we were like - that's perfect. Actually FH said it was perfect- so i agreed.
funny thing is - FT had no november 05 open, so since we wanted it there, it was the next best thing. (i actually wanted christmas time - but he said no).

The Watermill is beautiful and the food is great. i went to a wedding there last year and had a great time.
You may also want to check our Fox Hollow. We are getting a really good deal there.
I didn't want a winter wedding. FI and I always wanted October. Then we heard the prices and my mind completely changed. So good luck and keep searching!!

Definitely look at more places, I just remembered that we were all ready to book the first place we looked, and my parents convinced us to look at more places, and I am SOO happy we did. The first place actually wound up going to the bottom of the list!

I would say to keep looking because there are so many nice places out there...but we booked the second one we went to

i booked mine on the spot- first one that i looked at - so ill be weird and tell you that if you like something and the price is right and the date is open, i say go for it and dont look back

There are a lot of beautiful places at Watermill for pictures. I saw a couple of Watermill books at all of the photographers I checked out - they were all really lovely.

The watermill is a great place. My sister got married there back in '99 and the staff was fantastic. It is the reason the choose to go back there. One because it was absolutly beautiful and second because they treated us so well.
