I remember a few places in the area :)
There's T-Carltons in St. James - a little pricey but they do a great job.
Mandy's Nails in Happauge (in the shopping center near the Hess at the intersection of 111 and 347). They do a nice job, and they're not very expensive.

Debs - I just recommended T Carlton's too!
And believe it or not, they're not too pricey anymore... all the other salons are catching up.
My friend went to SUPERCUTS for chrissakes and her cut, with a blowout, was $36.95.

i agree, it's crazy. I always spend $35-40 because I have 'long hair' --- it's to my shoulder blades!!!

Okay, so it's officially, once you move to the south, you have a 1 year window of opportunity to move back to NY. After that, it's all shot to hell and you're completely jaded.
