I went to a salon today to try on a dress I saw online. It turns out that I didn't like the dress on me. I ended up loving a Maggie Sottero dress. It was a sleek fitted a line or trumpet with ruching and beading up the left side with appliques just below the hips and one on the back (this looked beautiful with a french bustle). I wasn't crazy about the color; it looked like a light gold. I asked my consultant the name of the dress. She looked at the tag and said, 'Oh, this dress is discontinued. The name is Melanie.' She said I could by the sample. So now I don't know what to do. I dont really love the color and the dress was pretty big on me. I know it could be altered, but I'm scared it won't look right.
When I search google images for 'Maggie Sottero Melanie' a different dress pops up (not the one I tried on). I want to call other salons to see if they have it in a different color or a smaller size, but I don't have the right name of it.
