i had been really close with my ex's SIL...after me and the ex broke up we talked and said we would remain friends, she told me that if at any time i felt uncomfortable about hearing about the family or anything i should let her know and she would b fine with not talking about it..i told her our friendship was fine and it did not bother me, at first we talked constantly and then it seemed like i was making all the effort and she was making none, now i havent talked to her in weeks and shes always online and doesnt even say anything. its def. easier not hearing from her so i dont gotta think about the EX or that family but im really pissed. if any1 should have ended the friendship u would think it would b me, i feel like emailing her just to tell her how F**cked up i think she is by blowing me off...jeez do i need any more signs that maybe me and the ex breaking things off was for the better!!!

In my opinion, I think it's in your and his best interest that you and his sister aren't friends. Besides blood is thicker than water, just like he is moving on and you are moving on, maybe she is moving on ...
ETA: I'm sorry that you are hurt but this and it does suck to lose friends when break ups happen, but I do believe in the long run it's probably better for you to move on.

Well, is it at all possible that she is just busy right now? How long has this been going on for?
I know that with me and my friends, we'll talk every day for a month, and then not talk at all for another month. There's never any kind of pattern...

oh no we talked like everyday, and then like every couple of days cause i know its summer, and hr hubbie is home and stuff but she hasnt called me in weeks, and i called her last so im not bothering to call her, plus when i did call or im her, she started seeming like not interested in the convo..i didnt need anymore hints

I'm sure she had the best intentions of still wanting to be friends but maybe it's just awkward for her.
If you and your ex don't talk, he might be upset if he knew she was still talking to you.
It might not have anything to do with you at all.
If it doens't bother you that much I would let it go. It stinks but that's what happens sometimes when there's a breakup.

Yeah, I mean, I understand how you feel completely, but it might be really awkward for her. I really wouldn't take it personally. I don't know how I would handle a situation like that. I'd probably want to ease off on the friendship too.
