Just need to vent.

I think a lot of craziness has to due with my future sister in law getting engaged about 3 weeks ago. I love her to death and she’s a great person, but ever since she’s been engaged it’s all about her. If you just happen to mention something or ask for an opinion she’ll find a way to turn it around and be about her. And one of the most frustrating things is that I had picked her to be my maid of honor. Any advice on how to deal with this, she’s really driving me insane.

I would give it a little time... when you first get engaged.. you are so exciting and you just want to talk about it and daydream. I would give her another couple of weeks and if she still does it then mention it to her. When is she thinking of getting married, after you?

i would try to mention something in a nice way - or just repeat your ?'s so that she'll realize that you want an opinion on something - not an answer that has to do with her

Thanks guys. Yea she and her FI want to wait until 2009 or 10. See thats one of the other things to because she still has so much time, why take it away frome me?

I agree with this, remember back when you got engaged and give her time, hopefully it will fade, if not I think you should say something, maybe she doesn't realize what she is doing

I'm sure she is just acting this way because she just got engaged and is so excited. If this continues in another couple of months then you should say something but in a nice understanding way.
