He's back home in LI starting a new job in the city while I stay at home in San Diego finishing my master's degree. I'm so sad going to bed without him tonight. It's tough after living together for the last 2 1/2 years. Just looking forward to March - spring break - when I get to fly out and see him for 10 days!
I sawry I know how you feel, I hate saying goodbye to him everytime he leaves (U.S. Marine) When he is here everything is perfect and when he leaves its so sad. I promise you wont ever get used to it but eventually you are okay with it, at least for now. You both have wonderful lives ahead of you both seperately and together.
Think of it this way, once you are married and both working your days will be away from each other anyhow, it's almost a sneak peek as to what life is going to be, except those darn nights and I know those are hard.
This is so corny but it helps, when my FI went to boot camp we promised we would make a wish for each other or think of each other right before we went to sleep or think of each night. It kind of makes you feel closer even though he isnt there.
Feel better and know that these four months are going to fly by, with wedding plans and a Masters degree, you almost have no time to spend missing him....I'm finishing my Masters degree now also so I know how busy you must be.
Thats got to be so hard. Just keep looking forward to March.

i know how you feel...fh went away for a week for a family emergency and i missed him every single day...

It is horrible I know what you are going thru - FH and I have been together now 6 1/2 years but august of 02 he moved to Michigan to start law school. We had lived together about 4 1/2 years by then - and so it was really hard - I had to wait until I finished law school and had sinus surgery to move out here to join him.
Since we were both in school our schedules and money did not permit us to see each other nearly as much as we would have liked - so we got to see each other about every 2-3 months - but we spoke every evening for 1-2 hours to make up for it. It is hard but you will soon see if you are busy that the four months will FLY!

Thanks for all your support ladies! I know it will be hard, but we'll get through it. We used to have to do it every summer when I went home from school, but it's been awhile since the last time! I forgot how hard it can be! :o)
