really loved Parties Alive and Tommy's Tunes! any one else see any of these Djs or use them? Tomorrow off to see Elegancia! May go see a few more but I'm exhausted already! FM me for details if you'd like!

Congrats..since we are looking at DJ's after the New Year..how are the appts done

Do you watch a video of their work or tell them what you like and they put something together while you are there or before you get there?

I really want someone that I can say I like XYZ and they can put a small preview together right there or send it to me in a day or two

Most of them come in talk about what they offer, ask if you need ceremony/cocktail music or live musicians, photo montage/zap shots, lighting, and go over pricing! Then they usually show you a video. Make sure you ask them to show u a video with the MC you are interested in and ask to see video clips of some of the live musicians u may want. I think if you need additional demos, they could probably make them up and send them to you. I guess the best way to see them in action is a wedding or showcase...keep in mind though, since showcases aren't a party really, MCs/DJs are more energetic on purpose since they are more 'performing.'

I booked Tommy tunes they are awesome!!!

It only took us like 1 week to book a dj. I went the vendors helping brides page and asked for dj quotes then looked on the websites to see which djs fit in my budget and scheduled a few and when we went to tommy tunes they had everything we wanted for the best price!!
