...AND IT'S PERFECT! I'm ecstatic. I've never been so happy, I can't wait to put it back on and start fittings in October! The dress is a 16, and I probably would've been better off with a 12, but that can be fixed. Now off to find a veil and headpiece!

When we ordered the dress I was 25 pounds heavier. My hips measured at 41.5, and the '14 would've been too tight.' I wasn't in the place to argue, I knew I would lose weight but God forbid I didn't...I wanted the cushion of having to take the dress in rather than let it out. They wanted to order me an 18! I told them they were bananas, and there was no way I'd ever order past the 16. Stores just want the extra money for alterations.
For a size 16, my designer's description says: Bust: <39' Waist: <31' Hips: <40'
So had I stayed the same size, or gained any weight, the 16 probably would've fit my hips.
Those measurements are the same as my designers size like.. 10/12... the size 12 bust and waist and the size 10 hips.
and Congrats on the 25lb loss!!!!
Did they also get you for the 'plus size' fee?

Thank you! It's a Marisa...I threw my hands up with the sizing! It's so crazy how they each make up their own measurements and sizes.
That was why they tried to push for the size 18, anything larger than a size 16 was $250 extra! I was like obviously I know why you want me to get a size 18 when it was clear I would've fit into the 14. The sample size 10 fit but was just ridiculously unbreathable tight!
Just checked out her dresses and her dresses are gorgeous!! But they all seem to be SUPER form fitting... like a lot of mermaids and fit and flares. I wish I had the height to pull off a dress like that... I'm barely 5' so it wouldn't work for me at all. lol

Yeah I love her dresses! They're even more beautiful in person...it's a mermaid. I went out looking for ballgowns and fell in love with the mermaids! You never know! But yeah I'm 5'7, FH is 5'9 so we look about the same height. This girl's wearing flats! :)
