Just say NO!

Just say NO!

While FH and I are very appreciative and flattered that so many people can make it to our wedding, I'm getting very nervous.

Where is my 15% no rate? If I keep getting Yes respsonses the way I have been, oh boy is it going to be a packed house!!

When's your RSVP date? Usually the no's come at the end.

Like Melissa said, most of the nos are the last to come.

Date twin, I hear ya loud and clear. NOBODY IS SAYING NO!!!! We counted on an even higher percentage of 'no's' b/c of a winter wedding and people from out of town DOMINATE our guest list . BUT EVERYONE has family in NY so they make a big long weekend out of it. Fabulous. Still, the price per head is much cheaper!

You know what else is killing me? The 'definite singles' are ALL bringing guests!!!

Has there been some love festival recently or something???

oh no, you are making me nervous.

i told my fh that i'll seriously cry if i don't get a 20% no. i am so serious!!

good to know that a lot come at the end. i'm not sending out invites till 'next year' but i've heard a couple of 'no's' through the woodwork. is it sick to get gleeful when hearing that?

Gosh, no. I felt the same way when I heard that I was getting nos. It felt even better when the nos came in. Not because i didn't like those people, but because I didn't want a 220 person wedding!

We had definate singles too that were bringing guests, and in the end, about half of them ended up coming solo.

The no's will come. They usually do towards the end.

So far, I haven't had any surprises with 'additions'. Everyone who was notably single when the invites went out, KNEW there would be no guests unless a serious relationship existed. IF they show up with a guest that was uninvited, they will look foolish when the maitre'd is scrounging for chairs to seat them.

Unfortunately, you get about 5-7 cancels the week before or of.... those are always fun.

Re: Just say NO!

My guest list keeps going up and The Riviera is small so I am worried their will be a squished dance floor. I heard to put the bridal party on the dance floor instead of the guests. A Dj we visited said that. Just a suggestion in case it gets too crowded. 150 their is crunchy.
Good luck!
