Just so sad

We went to see FI grandmother tonight. I couldn't believe the person that I saw was his grandmother. She thought it was early in the morning. I told fi that I'll be right back. I had to go in the hall. A few minutes later, he comes out and I just lost it. I'm the one that should be comforting him not the other way around. He understood it was hard for me. He knows that she won't be there for the wedding. He's glad that she saw us there together. Its just so sad

You have no idea. If I close my eyes at all I see what his grandmother looked like. Its just so sad.

Thanks everyone. Your support means so much. I saw her for a drop yesterday. She was siiting up in the bed. The hemoglobin was at 6...it should be at 13. They give her blood transfusions to get the hemoglobin up. I don't want the family to get there hopes up from the transfusions. Itold FI that he just has to take it one day at a time.
