..plan your seating arrangements ahead of time! I know it sounds ridiculous since you don't know who's coming and who isn't, but it is really really helpful.. I was nervous about having to figure out who was sitting where like 2 weeks before the wedding, so I went through my list and started just 'grouping' people together that I knew would definitely sit together.. and it was REALLY helpful! I just grouped a bunch together and gave them random table numbers that didn't really matter for the time being (table 1 might end up being labeled table 12), and even put some groups of like 14 at a table knowing that a few might RSVP no, and it worked out that alot of my tables became perfect groups of 10- it really made my life easier so I definitely recommend doing it early to just get a general idea :)

Thanks for the advice. I started doing this a few weeks ago and was wondering if I was just giving myself an unnecessary headache since I don’t know who is really going to attend. Glad to know the hassle won’t be in vain.

OMG, i thought I was a total nut job because I did it too! And I do have to say it has made the entire seating process much less of a headache than I anticipated! These boards make me feel more normal LOL

I wrote out the placecards as I got RSVPs and grouped them. When I did my tables yesterday, all I had to do was fill in numbers. It definitely helps to get some done as you go instead of saving it for the last minute.
