Just spent 6 hours baking cookies.....

I am so tired right now.....

Never thought baking could make you so exhausted!!!

I got out of cookie duty this year because of the move, so HAHA! No, just kidding. It really is a huge endeavor. Enjoy some for me

I totally understand where you are coming from. On Sat, I spent 9 hours baking cookies and now I have to go home and bake 4 dozen brownies.

I deserve NO cookies at all! I gained weight since Friday, and it's not even christmas yet If anything, we should design a system to take cookies OUT of me, not put them in me!

I'm sure you look great...and you're supposed to gain weight right before and during christmas...that way you can make a new year's resolution to eat better and excercise more!!
dont' think i didn't eat acookie or two today while baking!!!

I am about to start mine. I have been out finishing my shopping and just went and bought all the cookie ingredients, butter cookies and chocolate chip cookies. I know I will be up way past midnight, I have to make about 8 trays of cookies. Plus, I have to clean tonight because we are celebrating Christmas with my stepson tomorrow, so I have to prepare food for that too. I guess I am going to be a busy woman tonight, but I am going to put my Christmas music on and get to work. The best part is FH won't be here to help me, he had to go help friends of ours move. Luckily I got out of that!!

... today i made powdered sugar cookie balls...

i plan to make the gingersnap cookies(loved them at william sonoma)...

then i need to make greenbean casserole

As much as I know it is tiring, I wish I could have baked this year. I was away until the 17th and then I got the flu Sunday night. No time, no fair.

Although I have promised by family that I will bake Xmas cookies when I feel better

Baking really DOES exhaust you!! I found that out yesterday and today. Today I spent about 6 hours baking cookies! I'm pooped!!

And my first attempt at Rainbow Cookies flopped. The first layer (the green one) didn't bake right and stuck in the pan. So now I have Rainbow Cookies that are only two layers (pink and white), and are a little dry to boot. I'm still getting used to this gas oven, DARN IT! I was so disappointed because they are my DH's favorites.

i made:
tollhouse
chocolate sprits
gingerbread (sooooo cute)
7-layer bars (...my specialty)
peanut butter cookies
and then i dipped some of the peanut butter ones in chocolate....
i think we're set for Christmas.....

I just finished baking too...it was a disaster! My mixer burned out in the middle of making a cheesecake...I put the wrong chocolates in the wrong pie...I hope these are edible, otherwise I am going to be so embarred!

the worst is that whenever anything is going wrong with baking...someone always walks in and makes a sarcastic comment.....
