Hi, Kamai!!!! I was shocked when I first discovered that too!!!!! Daughter, Debi, from 08, actually had a guy she dated in college find her personal LIW wedding site and contacted her through it!!!! Mary MOB

im pretty sure in order to delete anything you've posted, u have to find that post and then edit it (erase all that you typed)

that is anything - google your name and it will come up with facebook accounts, myspace, etc. If you mention a company oyu work for and google the company name and you put it on your profile anywhere it will come up. You can ask google to remove it but it takes some time.

Best bet is not to use your last name or make profiles private so when you click on them you can't read or see it fully so your protected a bit more.

As far as on here - you really can't do anything so don't post anything that you do not care to share with the world.

You just need to FM client services with the link of the thread.

yes...I'm sorry I didn't say something earlier because it also lists the place that you are getting married if you posted it as part of you avatar. Why do I care?? Well, I was searching for pics of my recpetion location and google pulls up all my posts on here because I had the reception site in my title. So...it pulls up any pictures of my face, my dress that I have posted in any thread. I really don't want my fiance seeing me in my dress so i deleted those pics from that thread and changed the name of my place in my avatar. However, if the search engines cookie the information so utill they update the location still shows up in those searches. Really annoying. I almost want to delete my account because of it.

It shouldn't be too hard for LIW to do something about this. You can easily get code to stop search engines from searching through the forum.

yeah i went and did that! :) i went back to the thread i had posted about venting about some stuff that i no longer want it on here and deleted what i typed but i want to delete the whole thread overall out of this site cause you're still able to real responses people said and stuff and i dont know how to do that! :(

one of you told me on here i can FM client services and they can delete the thread for me? im gonna try that and hopefully they do! :) hehe! now that i know if you google my name this stuff comes up, i definately dont want anyone seeing that =P haha.. especially if FH ever hits in his head to google my name lmao!

PS: with facebook and myspace it isnt so much an issue cause you just can make your profiles private and even if you're found on google they cant see you're stuff cause you've made it private.. but on here it kinda ***** cause if you have pics of things for you're wedding, like you're dress it stinks cause itll come up and there is nothing you can do about it! thats what i dont like.. i dont want anyone seeing my dress or anything, i want it all to be a suprise! :( (to those outside of LIW who will be attending my wedding) so i am thinking of either deleting pictures of all my stuff or i dunno what else i can do to not let it be public and out there like that!


maybe you can even change you're last name on here and take it out or something so when they google you this wont come up?? lol! maybe ill try that!
