And I fell in love. It's a Priscilla of Boston from the 1970s, full of lace and beading It fit me perfectly. We were so amazed lol. She said I am her mini-me. I would totally wear it....only thing is, I don't know if it's too old-looking. It really fit beautifully, though.

seamstresses can do amazing things like turn a vintage gown into a strapless retro-looking piece, and about a million other crazily crafty things.

I WISH I had a gown like that! I unfortunately do not know any seamstresses that I could recommend but I'm sure you could find someone to alter it for you. My mom's first wedding dress was all handmade lace... she donated it to women in need!! I said to her, I'm in need of a dress! I'm glad someone got to use it and I love mine anyway but how special is that to have your mom's.

awwwww yay this just got me really excited about the idea It did feel really special. We both started crying so hard. It was a really emotional moment.
