Ugggh! FIL's have a 'problem' and refuse to sit with certain people and it's making me so stressed. My venue has big tables and I only have 8 tables so it's not exactly easy trying to spread people out. I can't understand why people can't just be civil for four hours and deal with it, the tables are big and you won't be seated that long!!

You know what, if they can't be civil for a few hours that is their problem. I would do my best to seat them far apart but not stress too much about it. They are adults and need to act like it, especially at your wedding. It's about you and not them!

Totally agree! If they keep bugging you I would sit them next to the people that they do not want to sit with!!!

Just nicely tell them since everyone has so many requests about who to sit with or who not to sit with it is very very difficult to do and can they please bear with you and understand you are doing your best to keep them happy! Then do whatever you want with the seating arrangements lol

That's exactly what it's ultimately coming down to. I did a rough draft and FMIL is going to look it over. I'm not sure yet if I just want to send FH but I'll probably go because I want to be sure that I say 'There are only so many tables' and also only so many chairs per table! People need to be adults at some point.

I would make them do their people. Something like 'you wanna be a pain? Here's x amount of tables and chairs with a list of who needs to be seated. You have 48 hours to do it yourself. Good luck!' And walk away. That way its not your stress!!!

Tell them to do their own seating, that's what I did, I wasn't stressed at all!
