Just want to praise DH for a second.

Just want to praise DH for a second.

He'd kill me for bragging about him bc he's so darn modest, but I can't help it and I'm just overcome with how lucky I am to have him right now! Here's why:

My best friend is getting married next weekend, a girl who's been my sister since we first met in 7th grade. She is such an amazing person. I've known her practically my whole life and I couldn't be happier for her upcoming wedding, esp since her FH is so wonderful to her! I am in her bridal party, and since her FH already picked his guys and has too many, she really wanted my DH to somehow be a part of her special day, since we're all such good friends. Well, DH just happens to be a musician, he's played guitar since he was 12. She already has a DJ for the reception, so she asked if he would do her the honor of playing acoustic guitar for the ceremony! Of course he said yes - and he's been so sweet about it! Even though she said not to go crazy, he's going all out for her anyway For the past month now, he's been finalizing the songs she wants for the ceremony, and just recently he borrowed a super state-of-the-art monitor/amp (I'm bad with these terms!) from a friend who works in the equipment business so he could get the best sound possible. And, last week while I was at her Bachelorette Party, he spent the entire weekend practicing! He's just so wonderful for going above and beyond like this - it means so much to me as her friend to know that he loves her as much as I do. Plus, her wedding day will be somewhat bittersweet, since her mother passed away about 5 years ago from cancer. I think it's really touching that DH is doing all this for her to do his part to make her day special - it somehow makes me love him even more!

I'm just so proud to have this man as my husband, and I just wanted to share with you all what an awesome guy he is That is, until I have to pick up his dirty clothes off the bathroom floor again.... Well, at least he has his shining moments!

That's so sweet...I'm getting all warm and fuzzy I know what you mean...it's so nice to have DH become close to those that are close to you. My aunt was my MOH, she's only 2 years older than I am, so we grew up together. In his speech at our reception (traditional in UK for groom to give a speech) he said He wanted to thank her for being such a wonderful maid of honor and that He knows that she's always been like a sister to me and he feels like he's gained a sister too. Almost meant more to me than the nice things he said about me

Congrats, you've got a great one

it does make me feel all warm and fuzzy :) He never ceases to amaze me sometimes!

Oh yeah - the BP was A W E S O M E!!!!!!! We had such a great time in Hoboken! We ate diner at Oddfellows Rest, stayed there for abnout three hours, then went to Bahama Mama's and partied there for a couple hours, then stopped in some little Irish pub off Washington and spent the rest of our night there. LOL Our bride-to-be caused quite a stir in her 'pimp' outfit, complete with feathered hat, walking cane and gold tooth! Needless to say, I think she was the only bachelorette who wasn't wearing a veil that night! We all ahd such a great time though! the limo picked us up and dropped us off, so we ended up back at her house hanging out with the guys till about 5AM since they had their party for her FH the same night! SO MUCH FUN - it was a lovely party, she hasn't stopped thanking us since last week!!! I can't wait for the wedding - her FH's friends are quite the party boys, with such a motley crew as a bridal party - we're sure to have a blast next weekend!!!
