just want to vent about my 'darling' mother

i'm an only child. you would think that my mother would be going nuts because i finally found a man who loves me and my little boy.

although my mother and i don't have the best relationship in the world, i did my very best to include her in all the planning. she was the first one to know where, when, and how big the wedding would be. she and f-fil were the only ones to see cake topper.

as soon as there was a date for my shower, she calls me to ask for permission to NOT come to my bridal shower. HER ONLY CHILD AND SHE WANTS TO GO ON A CHURCH TRIP INSTEAD OF MY SHOWER!! i cried, but got over it. she still got her invite. not only did she change her mind an show up, SHE SHOWED UP WITH UNINVITED GUESTS. she then proceeded to show up late, act like a drunk guest (it was a dry shower) and then steal one of my gift bags because she couldn't carry all of the bridal shower favors she stole from different place settings.

i'm hurt, angry, sad, and scared that she'll act like this at the wedding.

she's done other things, but i don't want to bore you all.

i'm not expecting that this post will change my mother. i guess i'm just looking to hear that I'M NOT THE CRAZY ONE for not being happy about all of this. poor me. ok, pity party over. time to finish diy invites.

feel better, i know weddings are difficult to plan, and moms can be a little nutty, just calmly talk to her and tell her your sad and hurt, and this should be the happpiest time of your lifee..
