just wanted to share something 'cute'

my son just got his FIRST WEDDING INVITATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

his teacher is getting married tomorrow!! the wedding ceremony is at the church just down the street from our house. she's getting married at 4pm.

i thought it was so cute that she gave an informal invite to all the kids in her class. she mentions meeting her husband-to-be and how she will be back soon as 'Mrs. Axxxx'

i know that there are lots of teachers on this board, and as a mom, i thought this was so thoughtful and cute.

this also shows me how i'm getting OLD.... my son has already started to get HIS OWN invitations to weddings

That would be nice...maybe something with her new last name on it...maybe a paperweight, stationary, or something else she can use in the classroom?

That's adorable! I got invited to one of my elementary school teacher's weddings when I was in school, and I was so excited to go!!

I'm a music teacher so I can't afford to give all my students invitations to my ceremony being I have around 700 students. I just wrote the information on the board and told them if they wanted to come it's this day at this place and if they really want to come the week of the wedding they can ask me for written directions. I'm betting (and hoping) most don't want to go, but I do know a few who would really want to and I would love to have them there.
