Just went to a Taping of Day to Day with Rachael Ray

Hi everyone...I just wanted to share my evening with you all. I was so happy to attend a taping of Rachael Ray's new TV show 'Day to Day with Rachael Ray.' For those of you who aren't familiar with this Food Network 'celebrity', she's the host of 30 Minute Meals and $40 a Day.
The show taped today was all about weddings and different wedding tips. She discussed wedding topics on DIY table centerpieces, bouquets, place settings, decor, and even cocktails. A couple of guests were on that shared tips and tricks, too. I believe this new show she has will premier in Jan. 2006.
Thanks for letting me share my experience...I am such a big fan of hers and I was so pleased to be part of one of her shows...

They have a mailing list (emails) if you'd like updates on offers and showtapings. I joined and got an email back...I got lucky that she happened to be taping a show on weddings...

oh thats fun!!!! i like her- she seems great.

her recipes are friendly for the non-cook like myself!

was she as nice in person as she seems on her shows?

I was thinking the same thing.

I was also at the taping yesterday. She had a lot of good ideas that if I ever tried to do, I would commit a murder.

I was thinking of tryin to make the BOK's and CP's myself, but now that I'm about 2 months away...there's no way I could do it. I'm crafty with limits, but worrying to do all that stuff the day before would drive me insane.

One good idea from this show, just in case many of you are getting married before the show airs in January, is the personal cocktail. She had a guest bartender on that gave different ideas of cocktails you can serve all night if you can't afford an open bar. There were champagne cocktails (made with pomegranate and white grape juice and champagne or sparkling wine), blueberry mojitoes (I think it was blueberries, but I'm sure you can add any berry), and pineapple martinis (I think you can add any other juice to a martini and use flavored liquer).
