Just went to a wedding at Marina Del Ray - Review!!
I went to a wedding at Marina Del Ray last night and have a GREAT time! PICS IN ALBUM
Marina Del Ray:
The place is beautiful. it's right on the water and you have expansive views of the water, which is really nice. The entire place was very well maintained (i am extremely picky about that). it looked brand new. the decorations were very nice and the rooms were spacious and clean. the bathrooms were also very clean and they even had a bathroom attendant the entire time! the outside areas were very nice - they had lights on the trees and the grounds were very nicely maintained and groomed.
Cocktail Hour:
the cocktail hour was very nice. the room was beautiful and looked out over the water. There was a TON of food! they had seafood (calamari, stuffed fish, shrimp salad, stuffed clams, crab cakes), Pasta salads, Pasta, a ROASTED PIG!, an Italian meats sections with Italian cheeses, chicken francese, stuffed eggplant, carving stations - the food was very good. and, i liked that as soon as a station was empty, someone was there to refill it with more food! there was only one bar in the cocktail hour room but the wedding was small and there was never a line
Dinner Food:
The food really was very good. there was a salad to start which had green inside a tortilla shell, with prosciutto and peppers and shaved Parmesan cheese on the dish. then, there was a FULL pasta course with a choice of two different pastas (Broccoli raabe with sun dried tomatoes or regular tomato sauce). the main course there was a choice between 6 different entrees! i ended up getting the orange rolled chicken which was delish and FH got the stuffed pork.
Reception:
The reception room was very nice. it was clean and well maintained. the tables and chairs were comfortable and there were windows that looked out onto a very nicely maintained garden. the dance floor was not huge, but again, it was a small wedding
only bad thing is that they have more than one wedding going on at a time. but, the only time i even knew another wedding was there was when we first walked into the building and couldn't find the cocktail hour for our wedding. but other than that, we didn't' see the other weddings the entire night! and we didn't hear their music either
Viennese Hour:
this was AMAZING. literally. when it was time for dessert, the entire back wall of the room came down and TABLES of desserts were there for us. they had cookies and cakes, banana flambe, EGG CREAMS, crepes with nuttella, fruit - literally anything you wanted was there. it was amazing and it was definitely my favorite part of the entire night!
Cigar Roller:
He sat outside the reception hall and rolled cigars and people could go outside and smoke them. they were excellent cigars and the bride and groom had match books made up with their initials on them! it was a really great idea!
i had a great time at the wedding and i definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a RH and to those of you who have already booked there -GOOD JOB you won't be disappointed!!
