When I first got engaged and started researching vendors were you astounded at the prices?
I remember being in awe by some of the quotes we got.
Of course I am over it and honestly now prices for anything in life doesn't SHOCK me because of the wedding planning experience.

Yes, the DJ & Ceremony Music quotes are shocking me. Especially the Ceremony Music. I'm obvisouly in the wrong profession. :)

Absolutely! Everything seems to have a higher price tag if it's for a wedding! Put the word wedding in front of it and add $100!!!!

I am the youngest of three girls. My sisters got married in 1979 and 1984. Needless to say my mother was beyond shocked! She damn near died! My sister's wedding was $30 per plate.

my sister got married almost nine years ago and at port jeff country club, for i think 125 people her entire reception came to less that $7000....$7000 now isn't even paying for half my reception and I thought we got a pretty good price.
The photographer prices really shocked me...everything else so far i've kind of expected.
