Are bridal shower invitations supposed to go out after wedding invitations are sent out? Or do you think it doesn't matter? (Just wondering that if shower invites are out before wedding invites, it may seem that bride is 'fishing' for gifts)

I think the shower invites should go out first, because the happen first. I dont think it is fishing for gifts, you are inviting them to a shower

It depends how soon before your wedding you're having the shower...my invites went out 3/19/05 and my shower invites (which I didn't know about) went out around the same time.

My shower invites were sent out before my wedding invites.
Although, I went to a shower where the wedding invite came first... it honestly doesn't matter.

The point of a shower traditionally is to shower the couple with gifts.

I really liked the invites at Adorable Planet and Hallmark (store and website had a couple that were reasonably priced.
