What little things are you doing to save for the wedding? Anybody give anything up, or maybe got another job?

Re: Just wondering...
We don't really go out to dinner anymore.. like once a month maybe, we used to have a date every saturday or at least every other one. I also got a job on Saturday and/or Sunday helping out my mom's friend at her store... and we really just dont spend as much as we used to on ourselves.

Re: Just wondering...
I promised FH I'll make him lunch everyday but I will collect $10 for each lunch I make him and save it in our wedding piggy bank. We also stopped buying so much dunkin donuts and we're cutting back on our saturday night dates, I think we're gonna do once a month dates and save the rest of it.
Believe it or not, all that adds up....
Oh and i'm looking for a job too so hopefully that will help

Re: Just wondering...
My parents are paying (only child) but Christmas will be light this year and we cut back on eating out, clothes shopping, etc.

Re: Just wondering...
I'm notoriously cheap, so it's really not a big stretch for me. I worked 2 jobs and 6 days a week for 5 months when I first started working full time, and I'd really like to never go back to doing that. We don't eat as much anymore out, and I bring lunch everyday. I'm still trying to beat that one into FHs head. I haven't bought any fall clothes or shoes this year. I also think I'm working out an arrangement with my sisters this year that we're not going to exchange, or if we do, it will be very light.

Re: Just wondering...
FH and I have been having this argument for the past 2 days! All of a sudden, he's having a total $$$ breakdown.
I'm working as much o/t as possible, no more shopping, I gave up my cleaning lady (which may have been the worst for me), a very light Christmas this year and I'm actually considering giving up my apartment and moving back with my mom! Which is a HUGE deal because I've been out on my own forever!
BUT, we're trying to buy a house (whoever said prices have come down I think is lying) and we're paying for the wedding 100% ourselves.
I just don't understand why we haven't hit lotto yet!

Re: Just wondering...
I've been REALLY good at not shopping... I think I've spent like $100 total on clothes in the last 6 months. It makes me very sad.
I also got a second job - it's only 4 hours a week, but at least it's an extra $100 in my paycheck.
