Does the wedding party normally get mailed invites? I was recently in a wedding and we did not get invites. I didn't think any way of it because we were not guest we were participants. However my co-worker made it seem to me that the wedding party should get invitations.

I think everyone should get it....even though they are participants it's not like they are working the event...they're still guests

Re: Just Wondering.....
I am thinking I could just show it to them if they want to see it. I don't know what I will do about this. Like I said I never received one as a wedding party member but it seems most people have received or sent/sending one to their wedding party. I was orignally sending my 'will you be my bridesmaid' cards with the Save the Dates and just have them tell me if they were bringing someone or not since I see or speak to all of them pretty often. But maybe now I will send them invites. However part of me feels that is a waste of paper, as I am sending one invite per household for ones with 'adult children' (meaning my 18 year old cousins). I will see what FH thinks. Thanks for the input.

I think that the bridal party generally does get an invitation. Also, I think it's just good for everyone to have a paper copy with all the information. It's easier to refer to and then they don't have to ask you a million times.

I'm sending them STD's and invites, even with a reply card. If they don't reply, I still know the answer. Some of my friends will keep it the invite as a sentimental thing (I know I've always done) and also, it's a good way to tell them if they are invited with a guest or not and also, give them the important into in one place, as well as directions and such.
I would never have thought about not giving them one.

Re: Just Wondering.....
I never save invites that probably why I didn't think anything of it. They go in the garbage for me after the event is over. But I'll probably sen the BP invites since that seems to be the general consensus here.
