Why a lot of girls don't use a blusher for the church. Hmm.. my mom said, 'you have to have the veil over your face in the church!' (yes yes.. do what I want, I know I know lol).
I was just wondering why girls are choosing to do this.

Re: Just wondering...
I personally just don't like the way I look with it on. I always envisioned using the blusher...until I got my veil, and when I tried the blusher I felt silly for some reason.
I doubt I'll use it for that reason but I will play with it a few more times in hopes I eventually like the way I look in it

Re: Just wondering...
I personally feel suffocated with things over my face so I probably won't do it.

Re: Just wondering...
I wasn't aware that brides weren't using blushers..I thought it was pretty standard?? I plan to use a blusher, because the effect of having FH pull it off me when I reach the altar will make for a great photo!!! (plus its more dramatic)..

Re: Just wondering...
I'm not going to use a blusher. It's a bit too traditional for me. My mom doesn't want me to either. She's pretty anti-tradition. She was (is) a total hippie.

I wasn't aware either! I was planning on using one if I ever get around to getting a veil.

Re: Just wondering...
not getting married at a church, but at the RH (dual faith ceremony) and I am wearing the blusher. Its a completely detached layer so I can remove it.
Its a personal decision, if its something you don't like it isnt necessary (I dont think), I am doing it because I like the way it looks, and its one thing that I had always envisioned. When I was trying on veils, though, I had doubts as to whether I liked it or not.

Re: Just wondering...
I had planned to wear the blusher and then forgot to put it over my face before I walked down the aisle! My dad said he realized when we were about half way down, but figured it was too late to do anything about it. (Could you picture if we'd turned around and did the aisle walk over!)
When I got to the end of the aisle, my mom goes 'Where's your blusher???' Oops.

I am not doing it because since this is my 2nd marriage- I did it for my first, I want nothing the same as the first

Re: Just wondering...
im following certain traditions if i dont mind them and i dont think they go totally against who i am type of thing so with this one, i am up in the air...i dont mind the tradition but also dont have any specific sentiment towards it so it will come down to how i think i look with it on. i have it as detachable so i chould choose to wear it or not

Re: Just wondering...
im definitely wearing one....im totally traditional, as are my parents, and i love the mystique of being under the veil and having FH unveil me, and my guests not truly seeing me until after....
i love it!

Re: Just wondering...
I'm not using one because I never envisioned myself wearing one plus I hate anything touching my face. I'm having a cathedra length veil so I think it might look kinda weird too.... But I'm a huge fan of the birdcage veil. Is that wat its even called?? Idk...

Re: Just wondering...
i'm using a blusher (with my cathedral and fingertip veil) when i went in the other day to macys to try it on, it did feel a little overwhelming, actually a lot overwhelming BUT it is traditional, and it only lasts till i get to the end of the aisle, right? or do you wear it the whole ceremony?
