Nope...the only people who will see it before the wedding are my mom, sister and niece. I want everyone else to be surprised.

I quickly showed him a picture of the dress. It was almost the same exact dress but by a different designer that two different brides on LIW wore. I showed him a pic of one of them wearing it. I was feeling anxious about my dress choice and I knew he would give me an honest opinion.

He loved the dress and I feel much more at ease. He won't remember what it looks like by next May, so I still feel I will achieve the surprise when I walk down the aisle.

I don't want him to see it either! As with most of the responses, I want to see the look on his face when I walk down the aisle. I did however show him a dress that I was going to get. I couldn't help myself!

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!

We initially almost got into a fight over it. He really wanted to see it, and said 'If we spend $4K on a dress, I want to see it!' - and I told him he will on the wedding day.

Eventually we reached an agreement, since its so important to me he will see it on the wedding day!

I am very nervous that he won't like it! After all, I just want him to like it - don't matter about everyone else.. But, I guess I'll take my chances.

no, but unfortuantly his best friends fiance has the same dress as me and their wedding is a few months before ours. i was so pissed considering i got it and showed it to her a few months before she bought it.

Don't worry - it'll look different on her than it will on you, and I'm sure you'll be absolutely dazzling!

Nope - for a few reasons. For tradition, and because he's superstitious, and because I want to see the look on his face.

But, the MAIN reason is that his taste tends to be very different than mine at times and he's really into simple and traditional, and often doesn't think before he opens his mouth with his opinion. Although I always thought I'd get a plain white dress, when I tried one on with pink and purple beading, I knew it was the one. If I showed him the dress on the hanger without the whole package (me, the veil, tiara, bo-k, etc) I'd be afraid he'd say he didn't like it and I'd be hurt. No sense in that, now is there? It's the whole package after all!
