Karat Shop

Anyone have any experience with them, good or bad? They seem to be having an awesome sale, but for some reason, I'm apprehensive...

it depends. what do you plan on buying there? if its bands, are the diamonds they carry of good quality?

I have never bought anything there, but in a pinch a few days before our wedding I went there to have my e-ring cleaned and they did an AWESOME job, in front of me, and they didn't charge me!!! very nice people!

I got my setting there for my engagement ring, and weorded my wedding band from there. Not one complaint. My band has been on layaway for several months, and I am just making payments.

I went to the karat shop and saw a ring that I liked, it was platinum with a sapphire as the main gem, with diamonds on each side, but when I told my FH about it, he told me he wasn't getting me a ring that was platinum. Gold all the way.

But from what I've heard about the Karat Shop, I was told to go elsewhere for better service.

How are they for buying loose diamonds? I would guess if a diamond is IGI certified, it shouldn't matter where you get it from, right?

I have heard that when you get the diamond appraised it is lower quality than what you thought you were buying.
