Hey Kat...Just wanted to tell you that I know your frustration. Maybe this is why to me people on here don't seem plus sized at all...I used to be a size 28! Now that's plus size!! I remember going bridesmaid shopping at Macys of Manhasset and I felt like crap. My cousin picked the weirdest salmon color and the most awkward style that really just did not flatter anyone at all so imagine me. And they did not have ANY plus size dresses so they would try to fit me into dresses I knew I'd rip. They ordered me a size 20 because thats the biggest size that designer made so I had to get 2 extra panels put in! I hated the whole experience and never want to be a bridesmaid ever again, even now!
If you to Macys or Pennys or wherever there are sizes on the rack up to a size 18 usually. And most stores you do not have to go to a plus size section because the designer makes up to size 18 or 20. The average size in the United States right now is a size 14!! A size 14!! So why is a size 14 the start of 'Plus size' clothing? So stupid if you ask me. You know who would make a killing? Someone who open a 'plus sized' bridal store. That's right...a store for say size 14 and over. And nice dresses. Couture dresses also please! Designers do make them and yes, in a bigger size!I just hate that they don't order them in plus size to put them out. I hated when I went shopping and they had selection sure...ugly *** selection! I couldn't dress cuter because I was bigger? I don't like this for bridesmaids too..I have 4 plus size girls in my bridal party and really? the sample is a size 6 or 8? You know damn well if you arent a size 2 you're not fitting in a bridesmaid dress a size 6! I mean ***?
You know you are going to find the perfect dress for you but I know it's annoying to go through the hassle like that to find it. I'm glad you wrote the letter! xoxoxoxo
Wow thats an inspiring story!!! How'd you lost all the weight?!

It's really hideous! My last bridesmaid dress ... the size # was TWICE what my clothing size is. I mean who fits into the smaller sizes then! It's lucky I don't get crazy over size numbers, but that can really mess with people.

Just wanted to let you know that FSIL is a little bit bigger too and when we went to Kleinfelds she had exactly the same experience. There was not a good selection of dresses for plus size brides, they make you feel like everything is about the almighty dollar and do not really listen to what you want.
Please don't be discouraged. YOU WILL find the perfect gown that you feel absolutely stunning in!
Good luck!

Don't get discouraged!! I am a size 12/14 and they hardly EVER have those sizes in samples, except for David's Bridal. It's depressing, but remember...you can always try on smaller sized dresses to just see how the style would look on you...that's what I ended up doing. Try and enjoy the experience...and hopefully these salons wise up and realize that there are women of all different sizes and shapes and they need to cater to all!!!!
