kathi inspired me....narrowed it down to TWO names

Which do you like better...

Emma Grace

Lyndsey Olivia (Lindsay/Lindsey/Lyndsay)

Ignore the fact that Emma is becoming more popular... I still like it anyway! Hee hee.
Both names sound great with our last name. Thanks!!
BTW...I have less than 6 weeks to go!

How are the initials?

ie, if your last name was Gilligan and you chose Lyndsay Olivia, she'd be LOG or Emma Grace, she'd be EGG. if your last name starts with an L, with Lyndsay- LOL (LOL )

Hmmmmn...

I like Lindsay (spelled like this) Olivia of the two but they're both nice.

edited to add: 6 weeks?!!?! God bless! I hope you are taking it easy! I just remembered how uncomfortable sleeping was at that point, I think I had 7 extra pillows in the bed. Hang in there!! Where are you having the baby?

Not too bad. :)

Liz...Sleeping is almost impossible now!! It is so hard to get comfy. Plus, the baby is always kicking me in the ribs...HARD!!
It's kinda funny actually.
I live upstate, so I'll be delivering at a birthing center/hospital up here! I plan on calling my family when I go into labor so that they can make the 6 hour drive and hopefully be there for the birth! (though not in the room!!)

LOL!!! I 'm laughing that you specified that your family would not be in the delivery room. That does need to be clarified these days, doesn't it? No offense to anyone who had/will have a crowd in their room but....I can't imagine it. I saw an ep of the Baby Story and she had about 15 people in the room including brother, cousins, father in law, some nephews who were about 8 and 10 who looked shell shocked. Not for me! I had my Mom there just b/c I know she really really wanted to be and she would never have that experience otherwise. Dh didn't mind and I didn't and she behaved herself. I had moments of fear that she'd try to get involved but I was specific about her role and she was soooo cool and loved it. Anyway, you gave me a chuckle with your last line.

Where do you live upstate? My SIL lives in Greene county near Albany.

Although I like both, I like Emma Grace better. It's so classy sounding and it works for a child's name and an adult's name. Some names are cute as kids names but too cutsie as adults. Ok, enough babble, I vote EMMA!!

I like Emma, Grace and Olivia but I don't know how well Emma Grace sounds together. I do like Grace Olivia. How about Emma Olivia?

Both are beautiful.

Two tricks to help you decide

1. Many people end up breaking names down to the first sylable so
Emma = Em
Lindsay = Lin
Which would you prefer to hear?

2. Go to your door - open it and scream each name followed by Dinner 3 times
Which would you prefer to yell?

Love Emma Grace, although I think Lindsey Olivia is very pretty as well. Emma & Olivia are 2 of my favorite names.
