I am planning a birthday event for my fiance's 30th b-day.... I am looking into a million different bars/lounges. Has anyone ever been to Katwalk?! Please let me know what you thought of the place!! Thanx so much!!!

Katwalk is pretty fun-its a good afterwork bar (I've never been on the weekends) but I'm sure it will be fun!
Have you considered The Town Tavern on West 3rd? I had my birthday there last year--its loungy but also serves beers in cans/koozies so its laid back and 'unique.' Its very fun on weekends and plays great music!

Re: Katwalk nyc???
I had part of my FH's 30th birthday party there. It was a saturday night and it was a good crowd, good music and they let me reserve tables without bottles. Most of us ended up standing and mingling or dancing though so the tables weren't that important.
I went there a long time ago..maybe 4-5 years ago. It was ehhh..There were people (I don't know if they were modeling students or what) doing a catwalk around the place. That's all I remember. I think it was overpriced and sorta dead. I would pick somewhere else.

I went there for a friends bday...They don't have a dance floor..There is too levels and it gets paaaccckkkeeedd on weekends..It would be better for u if u had a separate area, like vip...Overall they played good music and the crowd was decent. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of space
