I've had bad luck with strapless dresses staying up and not twisting even when they are altered correctly at the bust.
I've got a sweetheart neckline dress. I'm debating on whether to add thin spaghetti straps or to try other methods to keep the thing up all day. Help!

They will make it so tight you shouldn't need straps.

If you decide to add straps Klienfelds has these amazing crystal straps. I forgot the designers name, but if you go on their site under accessories you will be able to view them.

They are actually tightening mine at the hips so that they basically create a 'shelf' on which the top sits so that there's no chance of it sliding down. You could ask them to try something along those lines if you decide not to add straps.

Did you have a corset back on your dress to assist with the tightening?

No. They just took it in at the sides. I apparently lost weight the two weeks before the wedding because it wasn't as tight as it was when I tried it on for my final fitting.

My FSIL added straps on her wedding day and she said they were the most uncomfortable things ever! I would try to stay strapless if you can!

try to go for strapless because straps can get a lil annoying but if you really feel you need them, do what will make you feel comfortable that day!
