I know that their are pyschos out there that try some crap and mess with you. Other than that, I've learned from previous threads that posting prices you get is NOT a smart idea...although people here are friendly, animosity and anger comes out when one bride finds out that they are paying more for the SAME thing that someone else is....who could blame them? Since a couple of incidents since I've been a member, I've decided not to share any prices or places....JMO

hmmmm i am the one who did that and it was not anger and animosity. $10-20-30 dollar difference pp is one thing, but close to $100 pp difference is a big difference, and its more a shock and annoyance...BUT then again brides do sit there and post prices to ppl like oh hey its $85 a person without specifying what day its for, day wedding or night wedding, time of year. When these things should really be specified even for other reasons.

Say someone is really interested in a place and someone tells them its $175 pp and its out of that persons budget they decide not to even bother looking, meanwhile the person forgot to say they added a million things to the package...now some bride who just posts prices without any real info behind it just discouraged some girl from looking at a place and maybe even her dream place.

There were other instances where price conflicts came about, not just that one time. In that specific case, I learned to keep my mouth shut right away because the prices I got were defintely different from what other people were posting. As far as vendors are concerned, most ask not to share info. here because of the drama it starts...since I saw price discrepencies with what others posted, I decided to stay out of it. The truth of the matter is that vendors do not give out identical numbers...there are many variables that go into their decision. Example: day, time and most importantly, number of guests. If I can only guarantee 100 and someone else could guarantee 300, they will obviously cut them a better deal since they are bringing them more business. I enjoy sharing ideas and working out problems..minus financial talk.

thats why I NEVER posted any of my prices on here...you have to remember some people do get deals for whatever reason and yeah its human nature people are not gonna like paying more for the same thing. I post prices for CLM bc that is one place where everyone gets the same price and i learned that.

But if people FM me i usually give the price or at least a ball park figure.

Yeh, I see that people get deals due to larger parties or weeknight parties. Lucky them!
