I know we were talking about this on the boards not too long ago.. and girls were in the process of getting it done.. I was just wondering how those who've gotten it done feel about it and most importantly if they think curls will stay

Re: Keratin Straightening
I'm glad you posted this bc I am thinking of possibly getting this done. I would like to know prices bc she quoted me a ridiculous amount....$650....this is way too much IMO...

No ... you can definitly get that done cheaper. I have a woman I massage who is going to do it from her house. If you want I can get you her info. She is in seaford.

You can get it done for 150-200. I have had it done a few times....It is not a straightener...more of a relaxer. It will take the frizz out of your hair. My hair is curly and it just made it easier to straighten but my hair was just as curly if I didn't blow it out.

Re: Keratin Straightening
thats my concern. I know people who spent 100s. I like being able to straighten it and sometimes make a few curls. I think it will be easy on the honeymoon.

There is a dominican salon that I know does it for $150.00 its suppose to be healthy for your head because they are adding keratin which is a protein and sealing it into your hair strands

Re: Keratin Straightening
I have been deciding if I should do this or not. I have very curly hair and I want to know that I can still wear it wavy if I dont want to blow itout. Has anyone had it done and noticed that they can still wear their hair wavy wth some gel/mousse? I have heard some bad stories that it ruins the texture of you hair, and that the curls never come back like they were before. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks!

I have really curly hair and it just made my hair not frizzy....it made the curls nice. and if I did blow it out it just cut down on the dry time.....Its not a straightener....
