Kerry's speech last night!!!! what did you think???
I thought he was very well spoken and addressed ALOT of issues. I think he really wanted to show he was able to handle the military and he did a great job explaining his vietnam background!!! I know where my vote is going!!!!
Loved the abe Lincoln quote ....It's not whether god is on our side it's whether we're on God's side!!!

I had to work last night so I missed it!!!!
Okay, I just read his speech. I thought that it was a great speech. I was thinking of Kerry as the lesser of 2 evils, but now I actually have a different perspective. I feel like I actually understand him better.

I was VERY impressed by Kerry. He did a great job last night...great speaker...and I really like what he is saying and his vision.

Although I've been intending to give my vote to anyone BUT W... I was nervous about Kerry & his abilities.. but after last night- I have totally warmed up to him- I think he did a GREAT job and his outline for America is WAY BETTER than W's... I honestly don't know how you can be an American and NOT vote for Kerry- especially if you're middle class.

I agree totally. Rob is not a registered voter, and after Kerry's speech last night he said he is going to register. I was so happy! A candidate I can believe in and husband who will vote!!!!

unfortunately, he puts me to sleep...
love teresa, love edwards, but kerry just doesn't 'do it' for me. of course he will get my vote, but i wish i just liked him more...

I was planning on voting for him regardless because I am NOT happy with Bush, but after last night I'm in love. lol. I think he's very well spoken and he addressed a lot of questions I had about him.

That's kind of how I feel about him. I'm a Bush supporter so I wouldn't vote for him either way but there's just nothing there that attracts me to him. I think that a lot of his votes will be more anti-Bush votes than pro-Kerry ones.
Also, and there was a thread about this before, but I did not like the 'Help Is On The Way' group thing last night. I felt like I was watching the rotisserie infomercial where the guy, and the audience, keeps saying 'Set It and Forget It!'.

yeah, when i heard him say 'Help is on the Way', I couldn't help but hear the Mighty Mouse Theme Song -- 'Here I come to Save The Day!'

I think that it was more of a choice between Bush or not-Bush before but now it has become Kerry or Bush, with some not-Bush still.

I was glued to his speech. I know it's corny beyond all belief, but I loved how he said 'I'm John Kerry and I'm reporting for duty!' That just got to me, I don't know why. I would have liked to see a clearer outline, not just saying he's going to do things but how. But he did what he needed to do to attract the moderate and undecided voters. He showed that he can a strong commander in chief. Some people say he didn't defend himself against the 'flip flop' claims., he did mention complexities. i think those peopl who understand the complexities need no explanation, and it would have been lost on those who don't, and it wuld have looked like he was defending himself.
BTW: Did anyone watch it on CNN?

buttermike(fh) wants me to note, when we saw part of the kerry speech, he could have filled a pool with how much he was sweating, and if he was that sweaty and uncomfortable talking infront of a crowd that supports him, how is he going to do that when he is suppose to give speeches to the entire nation, or world.
