ketubah

ketubah

What exactly does this document mean in modern terms? Do I have to do this? I am catholic and my fiance is Jewish. We are having a Rabbi and a Deacon for our ceremony. Thanks for the information.

Since you're having an interfaith ceremony, I would say no, you don't have to, although your fiance might want to.

The modern Ketubah is more of a blessing of the marriage, and a promise to keep the wedding vows. Talk to your Rabbi, your husband, and your ILs about it.

They have interfaith Ketubahs, in English and Hebrew. They are beautiful. We are getting one. Google 'interfaith Ketubahs'. Reminder: they can be costly.
