Ketubah display?

Ketubah display?

Hi, we're going to be displaying our ketubah during the ceremony, the Swan Club has an easel we can use, but we can't figure out what to put the Ketubah on. We went to Michael's to see if we could get a matte, they said one that size would be over $50, it seems a little excessive to spend that for a 20 minute display. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Our's came on a styrofoam pad. It was solid and pretty thick. The Ketubah was mounted to it- I am not sure how but maybe double-sided tape or pins might work. I am sure that you can get a piece of stryofoam at a place like Michael's- it works!

What about an artist canvas or the foam board from Michael's or AC Moore.

what is a ketubah?

A Jewish Wedding Contract.

Why don't you buy an inexpensive frame and pop it in there during the display?

That's a great idea, i was wondering what to do with mine. It came in a cylinder and is rolled up right now, should I lay it flat for the next few weeks?

When you frame it for real, make sure the glass is treated so the colors don't fade over time.

We were thinking of doing that, but the ketubah is square, a little under 20x20, and the closest frames are 18x24 and 24x36, too small and too big.

I like the styrofoam idea, we'll check that out.

For the person asking, you can see examples of ketubahs at http://www.ketubah.com

We got Mickie Caspi's new design Song of Love:

Oh I love Mickie Caspi - She did our Ketubah too! It's called Oval Traditions.

Your Ketubah is beautiful.

Thanks for all the great advice, we went to Michael's last night and bought two foam board, each 12x36, we're going to tape them together, cut down to 24x24 and wrap them in fabric matching the bridesmaids dress color and display the ketubah on it.
