Re: Kid friendly restaurant by Nassau Coliseum?

TGI Friday's on Merrick Ave is not far- it would not have occured to me but I went there for dinner once before an Islander game at the Coliseum and it was full of people in jerseys who were also going to the game.

Bertucci's on Merrick Ave!

It's not far form the coliseum (5-10 min). They ahve great brick oven pizza, kids meals, and they give kids crayons and dough to play with!

ETA: bertucci's is right next to Friday's!

Re: Kid friendly restaurant by Nassau Coliseum?

Is Bertuccis usually packed around 5pm on a weekday? I would hate to get there and spend 3 hours waiting to be seated, eatting and getting to NC and missing the beginning of Nemo.

I don't think Bertucci's would be packed but be warned of ruch hour traffic in the area ... it really stinks!

Re: Kid friendly restaurant by Nassau Coliseum?

Well Nemo doesnt start till 7:30. I was planning of leaving my house at 3:30 (Riverhead) picking DH up in Northport at 4:30 and going to eat from there... 3 hours should be enough time to go from Northport to near the Coliseum right?

Re: Kid friendly restaurant by Nassau Coliseum?

There is a sports bar/restaurant right in the Marriott across the parking lot from the Coliseum. They have really good burgers and fries, and every time I've been there, it has been very much restaurant, not so much bar, if you know what I mean. It's not really a hang out.
