Kidlibny's 2nd Annual Summer Reading Club Appeal (Long)

Hi all,
If you haven't guessed already from my screen name I'm a children's librarian. I just wanted to ask for your help once again in making the New York State's annual Summer Reading Club for kids a success.

If you have any young children, younger brothers or sisters, and nieces and nephews, bring them down to your local library and sign them up for the summer reading club. They'll get great prizes for reading books and most libraries offer fun craft activities during the summer.

Many children's departments budgets are based on the amount of books taken out in their department and the higher the statistics the more money we will get for books and supplies.

I know a lot of the girls on here are teachers and I hope that you'll tell your students about the summer reading club. Hopefully your local libraries have visited the schools already and talked to the kids about this year's club.

And while your there, check out the wedding books. Many public libraries have great selections of wedding books and magazines.

Thanks Ladies
