Kids at rehearsal dinner?

Kids at rehearsal dinner?

I don't know if there is any 'etiquette' about this so I figured I'd ask the experts here.....

My SIL (who is my bridesmaid) is the type that feels her kids should be invited to EVERYTHING. (I'm still debating inviting them to the wedding -- I don't want children at all). Her sons are 5 and 8.

As far as the rehearsal dinner goes, do I have to invite my nephews?? Or do you strictly invite people who are in the wedding with their husbands and wives (not their kids).

My sister (MOH) has three kids and two of them are in the BP...i told her she could bring all three to the RD. There aren't any other kids so we don't have to worry about anyone else.

I don't think you have to invite them to the RD. JMO

Considering how they are your nephews I would invite them to both. JMO! It kind of depends tho, will they behave or they the unruly kind that will throw tantrums all night? As long as their good I don't see a problem with it, but if they're out of control then they should stay home.

We had a small group, so I left it up to the parents. My one brother brings his daughter most places, so she came, but the other little ones stayed home. Their parents thought it wasn't necessary.

we invited all our immediate family (siblings) with their spouses/SO's and their children. Also, anyone in the BP who wasn't immediate family, was also invited with their spouses/SO's and their children.

We also invited any OOT guests who were already here the night before.
