Kids at the wedding

Kids at the wedding

So I have kids coming to the wedding. Not many, just my 5 nieces and nephews. I want them all to attend the reception for a bit, but then in an ideal world a babysitter or something would come get them and bring them to the hotel. Is anyone doing something along these lines? Would love to hear how you all are dealing with the kids in your bridal party and having them at the reception.

well one of my RB (my nephew) will most likely go home with his grandma after the pics at the church are done, since he'll only be 2 and his parents (my brother/SIL) would like to get sloppy drunk and stay at the hotel LOL.

The only other young kids that I know of that are def. coming to the reception are my other RB (5), my FG (I believe she'll be 6) and FH's little cousin (who is like 4-5ish). They will most likely be staying throughout the entire reception which is fine with me because these kids love to dance! I love kids at weddings though

We are having about 4 or 5 kids there. We are going to ask the RH if we can make one of the bridal suites into a little babysitting area. We will probably hire one of my HS aged cousins friends to watch the kids. That way the kids can come for CH, then for the party the parents can just bring them down the hall to the babysitting room, and still party without worrying about their little ones.

Years ago I actually worked at a wedding as the bridal babysitter. I stayed in the bridal suit with the kids (most of which was sleeping) while the parents enjoyed the party!

Everyone was happy :)

Yea, the bridal suite would be a great option...except I'm getting married at a country club with a teeny tiny bridal suite that is literally right off the main lobby. I don't think it would work. UGH. Maybe I'll need to email my BM to see if she has another room that might work...
